I always thought that was part of the allure of going to galleries in NYC. Are you going to lock stares in a hardened gaze of winner take all, acknowledge each other in an uneasy truce of perceived equals, or just make do with the furtive glance and dismissal? Your basic NYC street etiquette in more rarified and confined quarters.
