"Mentors" at SVA
This weekend's Times featured an article hyping the hunt for fresh young talent in the NYC area graduate art schools. Seems amongst the financially supersharged, these "barely emerging" artists are the art world equivelant of IPOs. I guess undiscovered from the hinterlands would be classified as a "value" play?
But why should grad students get all the attention? Check out "Mentors", the new BFA show at School of Visual arts. The show features undergrad work created in response to the guidance and input of some of the school's luminary alums. There's an opening reception tomorrow, April 18, from 6 - 8pm
