Robert Polidori: What Was Left

| | Comments (1)

Some of Robert Polidori's photographs of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina were published in this week's New Yorker. A more extensive collection of photos plus an audio commentary have been posted on the Web.

Polidori sounds like a pretty trippy guy, but thoughtful: "Is it ethical to make such human disasters aesthetically beautiful?"

The opening picture of Robert Polidori's story in New Yorker was MY house. Is there any way I can purchase a signed print of that photograph?

My husband and I bought the house right when we got married in May 2004. His entire family lived in that neighborhood. We evacuated to my parents' house in Baton Rouge, where we still remain.

We plan to rebuild the house.
