SeeSaw magazine

Can't believe I hadn't run across this before, but SeeSaw Magazine is an outstanding new online photography site. Two "issues" have been released, the latest with a "cover" by Thomas Allen. ( The magazine conceit doesn't really work for me. Covers, issues, etc. all seem so superfluous on the Web.)

I'm a bit biased but I think that the magazine issue format is nice organizationally even on the web. What gets me are web-based magazines which use large blocks of graphic text I guess because they want to emulate the look of a print magazine.

SeeSaw is filled with really great work but I felt that some of the forced "magazine-style" layouts and awkward text handling turned me off a bit. They would also do themselves a huge favour in terms of searchability if they used some "live" text.

Great images, nice layout but graphic text is so 90's Thx for a great link.

Seems to me that the magazine format justifies only coming out quarterly.
